What Outline Guru does

Outline Guru adds a sticker designer to a Shopify store’s product pages. Shoppers upload artwork, Outline Guru traces a cut line, and the store receives print-ready and cut files for each order.

Data we process

• Store data: the store’s myshopify domain, store name, the store’s contact email (for the optional “files ready” email), app settings, and a Shopify access token (encrypted at rest, expires after one hour, renewed automatically).
• Artwork: images that shoppers upload to the designer, and the files generated from them (preview, print PDF, cut PDF/EPS/SVG).
• Order data: for orders that contain an Outline Guru design, the order ID and number, line item IDs, variant IDs, quantities, and the design options (size, finish, shape, border). We do not store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or postal addresses.

How we use it

Only to run the designer, attach files to the store’s orders, show the store its orders in the app, send the optional files-ready email to the store, and bill the store through Shopify. We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties other than our hosting provider.

Retention

• Designs that are never ordered are deleted after the store’s retention period (30 days by default; the store can change it).
• Designs that are ordered are kept so the store can reprint them, until the store deletes them, a customer redaction request covers them, or the store uninstalls the app.
• When a store uninstalls the app, its access token is deleted at once. All of its data and files are deleted when Shopify sends the shop redaction request (48 hours after uninstall).

Customer privacy requests

We act on Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks: customers/data_request (we report the order designs we hold for that customer’s orders), customers/redact (we delete those order records and their artwork), and shop/redact (we delete everything for the store). Requests are completed within 30 days, usually within minutes.

Security

HTTPS everywhere, encrypted access tokens, signed Shopify requests (HMAC and session tokens) verified on every call, and unguessable file links.
